Historic: The First Photograph Of Paris & Of A Person
1839
Not only the first photograph taken of Paris, it is also the first photo with people. The photograph was taken by Louis Daguerre, who invented the Daguerretype, a method of recording images.
The exposure lasted 10 minutes and was taken of Place de la République, Paris, France. Two people, who remained fairly still, can be seen and slightly blurry in the lower left side of the image. Other people in the street were moving and so were not recorded during the long exposure.
That anyone was photographed was by accident.
